Digital Cinema Package (DCP)

Here is how the picture comes together. We deliver Digital Cinema Package mastering from Istanbul finishing facilities, building DCI-compliant packages from finished picture and sound: JPEG 2000 image encoding, the correct color space, subtitle and caption tracks, reel structure and the metadata cinema servers need. Our DCP pros produce both unencrypted and encrypted packages, create and manage the Key Delivery Messages that pair an encrypted DCP to specific screens and dates, and quality-control each package on a calibrated screen before release. Turkey's mature post-prod sector, concentrated in Istanbul and sustained by the volume of the dizi television-drama industry, has produced trusted DCP capacity, and the favourable Turkish lira makes cinema mastering here strongly cost-competitive.

Here is what we have to work with. DCI-compliant DCPs are the delivery format for Turkey's festival and cinema circuit. We master packages for theatrical premieres at the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, the oldest Turkish festival running since 1963, and the Istanbul Film Festival since 1982, both of which need correctly built, screen-tested DCPs. Turkish auteur cinema sets the standard our packages serve.
