landmark
Best-preserved Roman theatre in the ancient world — 2nd century, seats 15,000, intact stage building. Annual opera festival proves its acoustic and visual power.
Ottoman-era walled quarter with cobbled lanes, wooden konak houses, hidden courtyards, and Hadrian's Gate. The Çukur dizi backdrop.
40m waterfall plunging from a cliff directly into the Mediterranean — best viewed from boat, with city skyline behind.
Horseshoe Roman-era marina with traditional gulet wooden yachts and the Kaleiçi cliffs as backdrop. Romantic and action-friendly.
Triumphal Roman arch built for Emperor Hadrian's 130 AD visit — the ceremonial entrance to Kaleiçi old town. Three arches, Corinthian columns.
Greco-Roman ruins with intact stadium, colonnaded street, and Hellenistic gates. Less crowded than Aspendos, vast camera space.
7km pebble beach with the snow-capped Taurus Mountains visible across the bay — a single-frame composition you cannot fake.
Naturally vented methane flames burning from rock crevices on Mount Chimaera since antiquity — visible at night, used in fantasy productions.
Walled Ottoman quarter inside Antalya city — narrow lanes, wooden konak houses, hidden hotels, and Hadrian's Gate at the entrance.
Horseshoe-shaped Roman-era harbor with yachts, gulets, and seafront restaurants. Sunset establishing shots.
Long Blue Flag beaches flanking the city — Konyaaltı for Taurus mountain backdrops, Lara for sand-dune luxury resorts.
Dramatic upper Düden falls and the cliff-edge Lower Düden plunging into the sea — iconic action and romance backdrops.
Three world-class Roman ruins within 60 min of Antalya — colonnaded streets, intact theatres, and temple complexes.
2-3 hours west — turquoise coves, sunken cities, Lycian rock tombs, and the Lycian Way coastal path.
Scene 03 — The Case for Antalya

Scene 04 — Logistics
Antalya Airport (AYT) — 13km / 15-25 min to city center
tram
Two tram lines connect the airport, city center, Konyaaltı Beach, and Kaleiçi. Modern, air-conditioned, runs 6am-midnight.
Crew tip: Useful for crew movement city-side. Equipment transport better via van.
car
Production vehicle is essential for ancient sites and coastal locations 30-90 min outside the city. Highways are excellent.
Crew tip: Rent SUVs or vans for Lycian Way and mountain access. Diesel preferred.
taxi
Yellow taxis throughout the city. BiTaksi app works well. Negotiate full-day rates for production use.
Crew tip: Many drivers speak basic English — Antalya is a tourism hub.
boat
Gulet wooden yachts and speedboats available for coastal scenes, Düden Falls angles, and Lycian-coast island hopping.
Crew tip: Charter via Old Harbor — full-day rates with captain are competitive.
Free or low-cost parking at most beaches, ancient sites, and outside Kaleiçi. City-center garages available.
Production vehicle access into Kaleiçi requires advance permit. Coordinate base camps via Antalya Film Commission.
Antalya city is compact — most central locations within 15-min drive. Aspendos 50 min east, Perge 25 min east, Olympos 90 min west, Kaş 3 hrs west. Coastal road traffic peaks Jun-Aug.
